Workshop Philosophy
This highly skilled manual therapy programme aims to facilitate correction of the joint dysfunctions. The workshop provides a critical insight into the complex anatomy,biomechanics and function of the articular system and clinical skills to correct the dysfunctions and restore the normal arthrokinamatic reflex.

COURSE BENEFITS
This course facilitates the development of motor skills to identify various joint dysfunctions and the swift skills to correct them. The High Velocity Thrust techniques are excellent techniques to correct several articular dysfunctions of vertebral region, pelvic complex and peripheral joints.
COURSE CONTENTS
Introduction to Manual Therapy: 1 Hr
Eras of development in Physiotherapy, Introduction to Manual Therapy (Different Schools of Thought), Manual Therapy: Definitions, Indications and Contraindications, Biomechanical Principles in Manual Therapy (Fryette's Laws, Concave-Convex rule, Close pack and Loose pack Positions, Joint status gradings), Barrier concepts, Assessment of dominant eye.
High Velocity Thrust Techniques(Basic Fundamentals): 1 Hr
Introduction about HVT, Cavitation mechanism, Indications, Contraindications, Hand posture and skills, Contact points of manipulators hand, Flicking Techniques ( Triceps flick, Double triceps flick, Wrist flick), Thrusts(Pectoralis thrust, Shoulder arm pull thrust, Body drop), Concept of somatic dysfunction, Rhythmic Techniques( articulation and springing, Low velocity stress techniques, Modifying factors in techniques.
HVT Techniques for Vertebral Column & Pelvic Complex: 10 Hrs
HVT Techniques for Atlanto-Occipital joint C0-C1 (Contact point on Occiput and Atlas), HVT Techniques for Atlanto-Axial joint C1-C2 (Chin hold, Cradle hold), HVT Techniques for Cervical spine C2-C7 (Up-slope gliding, Up-slope gliding with cradle hold, Down-slope gliding with chin-hold, Down-slope gliding with cradle hold ), HVT Techniques for Cervicothoracic spine C7-T3 (Rotation gliding, Side bending gliding), HVT Techniques for Thoracic spine T4-T9 (Extension, Flexion & Rotation gliding), HVT Techniques for Ribs, HVT Techniques for Thoraco-lumbar spine T10-L2, HVT Techniques for Lumbar spine L1-L5, HVT Techniques for Lumbosacral joint L5-S1, HVT Techniques for Sacroiliac joint.
HVT Techniques for Peripheral Joints & Tempromandibular Joint: 4 Hrs
Staggered hold for Tibia Thrust, Superior Tibio-Fibular joint gapping, Tibio – taloid joint Thrust, Medial border of foot articulation and thrust, Gapping thrust to Sub-talar joint, Cuboid Thrust, Mill’s manipulation, Carpal subluxation manipulation and TMJ Distraction Thrust Techniques.

Timings : 9.00 a.m. - 5.00 p.m. for 2 days
No of Seats : 40 (Max.). Seats will be allotted on first come first serve basis only.
Eligibility : Physiotherapists (DPT/BPT)/ Physiotherapy Students from reputed Institutions. There is no prerequisite in terms of Manual Therapy Experience.
Venue : The venue of the programme will be informed to the registered participants 05 days prior to the programme.
Fees : Rs. 3,000/- till February 21st,2012, Rs.3,250 till March 21st,2012
Rs.3,500/- till April 15th, 2012, Rs.4,000/- Spot ( If seats are available)
The above fee is for the participants of India and SAARC Countries.
$ 250 (For each part per participant) for foreign registrants.

Discounts:
1. The life members get discount of 5% on the fees ( photocopy of the membership certificate must be attached with application)
2. If you refer a friend to this course and both of you register, your friend and you get discount of Rs.100 on fees.
3. For group of 5 registrations there is 5% reduction in fees for each. The registrations must be sent together.
4. For group of 10 registrations there will be 10% reduction in fees for each registrant. The registrations must be sent together.
