Workshop Philosophy
This Manual Therapy programme is aimed at merging the examination of the joint, muscle and neural systems into an integrated holistic examination procedure. At MTFI we facilitate clinical reasoning framework to prioratise the decision-making challenges that a clinical therapist experience in contemporary practice. MTFI gives strong emphasis on teaching students and clinicians the ability to perform an accurate and specific manual therapy examination. The examination process developed by MTFI draws the concepts based on the works of Cyriax, Mennell, Maitland, Edwards, Elvey, Butler, Lee, Jull, Kaltenborn, Chaitow, McConnell and Mohanty. MTFI believes that the merger of the work of these manual therapists into one concept provides a more realistic, multifactorial approach to the examination and treatment procedure. In addition the Manual therapy Concepts provided by MTFI involves thorough Clinical Reasoning and Evidence Based Practice in order to cope with the recent trends.
